KeymasterThanks Steve!
I picked up my forks yesterday, and am very eager to get into The Shop tonight.
I made an appointment at the MTO for registration on Thursday next week, just need to get a safety before then. Planning to visit Brian @ Lakeside Auto on Tues/Weds next week for that.toys-n-yotas

KeymasterI’d say thats a good trade, idle sitting for sport!
Sounds like you’re making good progress on the garage too.

KeymasterRedee has been out touring twice this year now, both outings with some kind of drama.
First was the cut sidewall, I think it was a pointy rock that I didn’t quite get under the treads. We re-ran that trail last weekend in the opposite direction and I stopped to look into the rut.
Just this past Sunday we toured again, this time the starter failed to engage the flexplate….where the teeth are missing. I was able to spin the motor over with a 10” long flathead on the flexplate, but I was worried she’d snap and leave me stranded (with the girls). No fix planned here, don’t wanna put $300 to replace a flex plate, when I really just wanna be rid of that ancient trans. So temporary fix is to shim the starter again, and carry a longer pry bar with me to spin the motor over by hand again.
I do plan to replace the power steering box this year, this one just leaks too much.

KeymasterI cleared up about 20sq ft when I evicted my buddies atv from its long-term parking in The Shop. Free parking for 5 years has come to an end haha. I have already parked my Quadrunner exactly into the same spot. Only one more freeloading machine left to evict, another buddies GSX-R750 that needs work, but I’m not sure of the plan anymore.

KeymasterToday in The Shop, a couple little tasks on the DR600.
I drilled and mounted a front fender, I’m not pleased on yet another mismatching blue, but for $0 and a near perfect fit I shouldn’t complain.
I wired up an led I had, to act as a “Parking Light” on the front. I still have to drill a 1/8” hole somewhere in the fairing to mount it, but I only wanna drill one hole…so I best ponder its placement a little.
I charged the battery….because I forgot to turn Off the ignition after playing with various led’s last night. In hindsight this may not have been necessary since she’s kick-start only.
Soooo close.

KeymasterHey buddy, sad day, but I’m glad the new owners will appreciate what she is.
Cheers to garage and driveway space!

KeymasterDamn, forgot how good she looks!

KeymasterHip hip hooray, fork seals have arrived from Norway, and they are ALMOST the same as OEM (despite being listed with an OEM part number). Counting my blessings here, def not whinning.

KeymasterI agree, building more than one at a time will make it more profitable for you. 100 hours isn’t bad in my opinion for a custom built unit. The end result is killer bud, she’ll sell….my guess is closer to May 24 and after income tax returns have all come in.

KeymasterLooks great buddy, and your timing is perfect as the improving weather has me thinking camping.

KeymasterOh how I love uncapping day!
Today in The Shop, I also took the snow tires off the caravan, and put a set of sway bar end links into my buddies WRX. A fun day, nothing too difficult.

KeymasterHey buddy that looks fantastic! Use your LC to take plenty of glamour shots, and that trailer will sell itself.
How heavy is that lid to swing open with thr RTT on the lid? Could your wife pop it open and retrieve something, or need assistance?
