ParticipantDecided to install these square tube sliders today, got into it and then made a new decision to start new ones. Part square tube and part round, will post pics as I get into it

ParticipantOh cool! Looks like fun for sure! Trying to find local places to head out during the winter. Went out quickly last Friday but it was a muddy mess. My friend had the maiden run of his new Tacoma.

ParticipantWho needs a winch when you got buddies? Where is this trail?

ParticipantI don’t think I’ve bought anything with a core, my whole restoration was from rock auto. I did break my Aisin clutch installing it and I emailed about a replacement. They said to return the old one and they shipped a new one without any hassle
My opinion: they sell so many parts that I highly doubt they’ll care or notice that it’s not exactly the same. It will look almost identical and say Aisin on it so they’ll know it’s for that vehicle and not some random car.
Napa is similar they check cores but they don’t oook up part numbers they just make sure there’s something in the box.

ParticipantSweet! What kinda welder?

ParticipantKinda wired and mounted it temporarily for now, it doesn’t seem to be reading properly, or the truck isn’t making heat which can’t be because the rear heater is running really hot. Seems to be running okay?? I’m kinda Lost. I wired it to ignition by shoving the wiring into the ignition fuse until my add-a-fuse gets here.

ParticipantPulled her in the shop today and drained coolant all over the floor. Cut the upper rad hose and put a temperature sender in and started wiring to the gauge. The original gauge has claimed overheating for years so time for a manual gauge.
Filled the cooling system back up with good stuff (the red toyota/Lexus coolant)

ParticipantHow much do they want for it, seems like it would suit you really well.

ParticipantI haven’t really done anything to winterize it yet I’ve been trying to start it every two weeks or so and I’ve been driving around on the trails by my house just to keep the battery charged up. When I do decide to stop driving it I usually put a Rain X cover over it and maybe a tarp and then I might put some dryer sheets in it to keep it fresh until the spring LOL

ParticipantIt’s not a day in the shop without swearing

ParticipantTook her out for her last drive before the salt, got some air bags installed on my tow rig

ParticipantMy claim to fame when I flip cars is to show up with my trailer and cash and show you’re serious. I make my offer and I’m not afraid to walk away if the price I want isn’t accepted. Seems to have worked out pretty well so far.
The one thing I’m having a hard time with is buying cars that I don’t like, but that sell well. Certain cars are very easy to sell quickly because they’re popular, but they’re the lamest cars.

ParticipantThat sounds like fun, bikes and quads are nice they don’t take up much space and they’re a little cheaper to mess with. I have the right set up to do cars so I’m taking advantage while I can. A guy I know heard my friend and I flip cars and that BMW was in his mother’s driveway for 3 years, it leaked oil bad and the center screen didn’t work. Turned out to have the N54 slant 6 twin turbo motor which is apparently very desirable. The best was he wanted it gone so bad that he gave it to my friend and I for FREE. So we sold it the day after trailering it to my place for 1700 bucks
So I took that money and got this fusion and hopefully can make 3 or 400 off this.
