Well, it’ll start with a shot of butane in the carb, but won’t stay running. Not getting gas… carb cleaning required.

Thanks Kev. I was trying to convince Dave to clean it up and get it running to get more $$ for it, but all comes down to time…. so much to do, so little time.

The Clubmans are the drop handlebars used for cafe bikes. That seat is comfy, but the cafe seats look way cooler… Still debating what to do…

spent 2 hours polishing all the overspray off it last night – that was a bitch. After making sure it wasn’t seized, took me 20 minutes to get it running. Wouldn’t stay running because the battery is so dead… The paint on the tank looks better than my Connie now!

I was thinking of just flipping this one after cleanup and getting it running, but threw my cafe seat on it to see what it would look like. lol
The bike is actually in really good shape – it’s just been sitting a long time. Think it’s time to thin the bike herd again, so I should probably just sell it… Although I do have a set of clubman’s in the garage! Might have to experiment first!

you could try baking the tach in the oven to release the glue, like they do with the headlamps.

Or just use a hacksaw to and cut, then silicon…

Here’s the new to me ‘81 Yamaha 650 Maxim. My wife says “that’s the best looking bike you’ve bought in a long time!”

In my defence, 3 of the last 5 were parts bikes!

I hear you about the new Tacos. It took a while for the 19 to grow on me. It doesn’t even have a locker…

I don’t really do much off roading anymore. More camping and the truck just sits at camp…

I haven’t really had it advertised yet other than mentioning it on forums. Wanted to put it back to mostly stock before hitting Kijiji world.

Installed the crash bar yesterday and epoxied the tabs back on the headlamp. Let it cure till today and put it back together today.
Also installed the TRD grille. Pretty happy with how it turned out!
