    1) my problem with posting has been the exact same!

    2) driveability I don’t really notice much change, aside from the tires being loud and a lot of sidewalk flex, I think I need an alignment too.

    3) I did the same thing bc I didn’t have a fish scale, mine ended up being tighter that I wanted but I think I need a new spindle to be honest, it’s original and 340k km and it had some ridge marks on it, I just decided to run it.

I dont know what’s going on but it wouldn’t let me make a post. I’ve tried like 5 times and it keeps deleting it.

    1. Took like 15 hours but so happy it’s done. I replaced wheelbearings and all races, trunnion bearings, one broken wheels stud and all the wipers and seals. I wasn’t too happy about the wheelbearing preload I just couldn’t seem to get it right but hopefully it works itself in.

I hope it comes apart easy! There’s so many parts to these stupid axles, I’ve never dealt with a land cruiser axle before this front axle on the 80 is big, heavy, and so dirty because the seals were all destroyed.

My poor friend search for a lot time for a 99.5-04 Tacoma and found a pretty clean one. He rolled it last week on the Redhill Expressway in Hamilton. I gave him a call though and convinced him to keep it if he thought it was salvageable. Insurance was going to give him next to nothing, and we all know the value of these Tacoma’s has gone up so he’d never be able to buy another one with his insurance money. So he’s ordered a few body panels, and is going to try to straighten out the cab a bit and just run it. ITS A WHEELING RIG NOW! Better get tons and 40s under there ASAP

I’m nobody So my opinion doesn’t matter but I hate to see people work their entire lives and then be too worn out to do the things they always wished they could do, or go places they wished they could. My parents have both just retired (aside from my dad helping me out in my business) but they’ve been doing some awesome trips and it’s awesome to see.

Power steering fluid or ATF? What’s it say on the power steering cap?

Yeah I hope it’s cheap too, the actuator seemed like it was in good shape but I haven’t taken a good look yet.

I wish it was a steel run I was just picking up some wood to make storage in the shop.

It’ll  probably be a dog with 35s but oh well. It’s so horrendous on fuel right now that I don’t even care.

Looks like I can sell the superduty. New work truck in town! Think it’ll handle my 1000 LB plow on the front? Actually tows the trailer pretty good, horrendous on fuel but you only live once. Smiles per gallon.

I like it, it’s comfortable unlike the first gen. I’ve wheeled it once on the trail behind my place. Couldn’t get the rear locker to engage so I need to address that. Front was locked no problem. It has enough power with the 4.5 but definitely no powerhouse. I already want 35s so I might bolt mine up one of these days.

overall I’m happy, excited to get a little work done over the winter. 1) front axle rebuild I’ll start one of these days. 2) rear drawer setup

No way! What a score, I’m shocked they’re red too that’s awesome. How much Toyota stuff do you have stashed away anyway?

I like no flares personally. I’d cut off the rust if it were me. Fenders are cheap too if you wanna replace and paint. Red can be hard to match though especially if it’s older paint.

You know how parking gets at Costco. I’m an opportunist…
