Toy-YotaParticipantDo yourself a huge favour and get copper nickel brake lines from eBay my whole roll was like 30-40 bucks. It flares and bends so easy. Trust me it’s worth it! I did Orange Saphhire front to back with it, and the lines from the master are a dream. I believe Toyota still sells pre bent lines too, and Rock Auto. Worth a look, but if you changed your master cylinder I dont know if it’ll work
Toy-YotaParticipantThose look sweet. They flare nuts are 10mm, I have a whole set and only ever use the 10, looking back thats all I would buy.
Toy-YotaParticipantNo I don’t ever really air down which is dumb because I trailer it to most trails.
yeah mostly weight savings and it’s really easy to work with synthetic line!
Toy-YotaParticipantFront end is moving in the direction I want, love the light bar so far. Next on the list is a synthetic winch cable, and maybe a new fairlead.

Toy-YotaParticipantThat would be cool if you didn’t have to replace any hard lines! You should pull your locking hubs apart at some point and give them a quick paint refresh. Brakes all look to be in decent shape though that’s nice.
Hows the temperature in the shop lately?

Toy-YotaParticipantYeah in a more stock vehicle it will definitely be a challenge, and some of it is a little tight so you have to maneuver yourself into tight spots to get the right angle especially when you run it backwards
Toy-YotaParticipantThere you go fellas, short video of a couple of the features on my short trail. Hope you don’t mind me snagging the logo.
Doesnt look like anything difficult in the video and it isn’t really, I ran it in reverse and some obstacles actually took a couple tries especially with the snow

Toy-YotaParticipantYeah the BJ is rad. Yeah I have 5 blowers, 3 single stage 2 strokes, a single stage 4 stroke and a big 32” 2 stage for the deep stuff.
Work has been slow but contracts are all signed, we get paid extra for salt that’s the only downfall.
I do think I fixed the leak but I’ll probably run it for a bit tomorrow and see how it turns out. Pain in the ass, the gasket I got from Napa was the wrong size and I ended up taking it apart again and then using RTV on the housing even though FSM apprently says you don’t need it
Toy-YotaParticipant
Have a stuck brake calliper that I’m addressing And finally tracked down a coolant leak coming from the thermostat housing so I just got a new gasket and will finish putting it in today. did an oil change as well.
Also a friend of mine in the Dundas area is selling his BJ 60. It is a five speed 470,000 km, body and frame is awesome. ARB air lockers 2 inch old man emu lift 33 inch cooper Discoverers. Really cool truck here’s a pic, somewhere around $15k

Toy-YotaParticipantAny more updates on this thing?
Toy-YotaParticipantYou’ll love the braking setup, my friend has the dual diaphragm FJ80 stuff with discs in the rear and it’s unreal.
Toy-YotaParticipantIt’s the on neighbours land behind he’s a farmer. He lets people hunt on this area, so it’s not like a bunch of rigs could come crawling through the trail it’s more just for me to mess around on. It connects with the back corner of our property though and it’s nowhere near his house.
Toy-YotaParticipantYou’re better than me, we don’t usually have much old gas because we drain things when they aren’t being used, but when we do have some I use it to start up our burn pile from work.
Toy-YotaParticipantI’d say that last drop is close to three feet. It’s definitely capable of some bumper/hitch scraping
