I’ve been trying to duplicate errors, but only had the one time when I was trying to post a pic on the Reddee link. Evan, do you post from your phone or PC?
This is more or less a test post to see if there are any issues with text and pictures. Got a vibration in the rear end now on the old Taco. Pretty sure it needs a U joint, so I picked one up from Partsource for like $20 with my Toyota discount. However I fear it’s the rear wheel bearings… At least they are only $87 each from Partsource and I have lots of time on my hands these days (lol).
Random poser pic.LOL. Although I agree with your sentiment and rant, Toyotas also have that cartridge filter their cars (since 2009?). My 09 Taco still has the old style, but I think my new one is cartridge…
When I tried to do the oil change on my daughter’s Corolla, the thing was torqued to about 300Nm (about 270Nm over spec). I couldn’t budge it – had to take it to the dealer, which they loosened for free. Next change, even after I made sure it wasn’t over-torqued, I still couldn’t get it off….. They tighten up after heat cycles… At least it was accessible.
Also, all Toyotas are 0w20 and my 09 Taco is also the larger capacity – Minute Lube charges me MORE than Toyota dealership for oil changes because of this… Only made that mistake once!
Guess I don’t have excuses anymore! I should be there…. Can meet earlier if you want @Krezz.
Man that sucks! If insurance deemed it a write-off, would he be able to rebuild it to get it back on the road?
