Slick_YotaKeymasterI do the same thing. Keep an eye out every day and jump on the good deals when I see them.
I just bought a ’72 Honda SL100. I overpaid a couple hundred ($500) for it, but was more interested in the connection to the family I bought it from. They are a huge Mopar family and I happen to have an old Mopar! Can’t beat connections. They’re good people too!
I probably won’t make much on this bike, but I’m sure I won’t loose money…
Slick_YotaKeymasterLOL. I hated my cap, so I sold it… New truck has a tonneau cover – I like it (on the new truck). No coverage for the old truck bed, as I use it too much!
Slick_YotaKeymasterNice! I put the Dodge in storage for the winter to make room in the shop… Already been a blessing, as I’ve been cutting a lot of trim and lumber in there. I didn’t cover the Connie, and she’s covered in saw dust.
Still debating if I’m going to rebuild the parts Connie into a cafe bike. Got lots of home projects on the go. Kitchen reno is almost done – just waiting for countertop. Tore the wall out between the living room and back (not used) bedroom to open up the main floor. Want to do some barn board accent walls in the newly expanded living room and master bedroom…. Like I said – lots of projects!
Slick_YotaKeymaster^ I was thinking the same thing…
Slick_YotaKeymasterare you sure you lined up the axle on the leaf springs? I’ve changed leaf packs 3 or 4 times and the only time I had the SW off centre was when I misaligned the axle at the leaf on 1 side.
Very noticeable immediately! I could even visually see which one I messed up. Reinstalled and back to perfect…
Slick_YotaKeymasterThe Lexus looks great! I’d like to get a quad, but have been spending too much money on renovations lately…
Slick_YotaKeymasterNice easter egg! You’re like Elon Musk! lol
Slick_YotaKeymasterWell, the garage is on hold now whilst I renovate my kitchen. Man retirement has it’s perks!
Slick_YotaKeymaster^^^ lol. I passed a car in the ditch on the way home from St Thomas that night. CAA already on site.
I also came 10′ from hitting a big buck! Good thing I was puttering along at 75…
Slick_YotaKeymasteryes, U joint tool was like a C clamp with a rod that would push the bearing out. First time I changed the rear U joint, I didn’t need the tool as the truck was only 3 years old.
This time around, definitely needed the tool – they weren’t moving otherwise…
Slick_YotaKeymasterI did my destroyed carrier bearing, 3 U joints and a DS seal last winter after Ray’s Place run. My neighbour lent me U joint tool – man, that thing was the cat’s ass!
Slick_YotaKeymasterIt certainly is nice having heat in the shop!!!
Slick_YotaKeymasterHere’s the finished product for my reclaimed wood wall:
Slick_YotaKeymasterNext, vapour barrier, sheathing and reclaimed wood wall.
Slick_YotaKeymasterNow with the car out of the way, I can get the insulation finished in the garage! Gotta look worse before it can look better! Here’s the new furnace and cleaned up back wall…
