Slick_YotaKeymasterI hear ya… I was looking for a meter cluster for the 94 Connie – $200 from my bike parts guy… little steep for my liking.
Slick_YotaKeymasterNice find! You gotta jump on those deals when they come along!
@Tom: “…am afraid of the fuel consumption haha.” This sounds funny coming from a guy with a V8 swap 4Runner! lol
Good to see you and Dave are still kicking!
Slick_YotaKeymasterI was trying to buy some of his signs, but he said none of the Mopar is for sale – which is almost EVERYTHING! lol.
Yeah, bike came with a lot of new stuff… Carb, battery, kickstart lever, plug wire…
Installed all the new components last night. I couldn’t get the wire out of the ignition coil- don’t think it was made to come apart. I’ll have to buy a new coil for it.
Clutch doesn’t seem to be working right. I’ll have to dig into that more….
Slick_YotaKeymasterMan, she’s gonna look like new! You should make a killing on her!
Slick_YotaKeymasterI always sit on bikes till spring. Sell much faster and for more money..
I usually buy off season when they’re cheaper.
I made a seal punch out of some plumbing materials. Took the old seal to the hardware store to size it up… Cost me about $3 😉
Slick_YotaKeymasterKid also gave me a brand new carb for it! Needs a seat – sourced one on ebay for $50. Heading out to the garage tonight play a bit and take a closer look…
Slick_YotaKeymasterHey Tom, do you play any instruments? Guitar, drums?…
Slick_YotaKeymasterKid I bought the bike from dropped off a new kickstart lever for the SL. I stopped by NCK Cycle in woodstock today and was able to get a brake lever and a petcock.
I might actually start working on it tomorrow and take a pic or 2 to post. lol
Slick_YotaKeymasterLOL. for sure! I was a 120 lb 15 year old when I had one…
I can’t believe they sat on that order like that! I’d be losing my shit as well!
I get many parts from Fortnine – I’ve had really good luck dealing with them!
Slick_YotaKeymasterI think there’s a cruiser section on mud (ih8mud.com), here’s a link:

Slick_YotaKeymasterWelcome to TNORTT Filipe! Not as much action on this board as TW…. Mostly Tom and I – lol
Slick_YotaKeymasterThat engine looks pretty clean!
I doubt I’ll be putting that much effort into the 72 SL100 I just bought. First priority will be to get it running and riding…
Slick_YotaKeymasterPicked up a 72 Honda SL100 the other day. Turns out it was my local MP’s grandson. Dave MacKenzie was at the shop when I went to look at the bike.
We started talking politics, but then switched to cars when I told him I have a 51 Dodge Coupe. He told his grandson to show me around the shop. There must have been a dozen old Mopar’s there and a couple others. It was like a museum!
Slick_YotaKeymasterTurned out pretty nice!
Slick_YotaKeymasterSomeone posted about this on TacomaWorld. I thought it was Bigrunner! Oh, if I didn’t already have 3 Toyota trucks in the family!
