Toy-YotaParticipant
15×8 Pro comp street locks -19 offset and 31s should fill out the fenders. I should probably start a dedicated thread for this build so maybe I’ll do that as I get more pics
In other exciting news I’m going through the process to build a dedicated shop here.
Plans are a 32×56’ pole barn, 14’ height, scissor trusses, two 10×10 doors, a 10k hoist and partial mezzanine. Still getting some quotes and permitting stuff so hopefully it all works out.

Toy-YotaParticipantWell I have a few more weeks before work starts so I decided to build another trailer. Plans are pretty basic, 50”x6.5L’ box, pretty long tongue, today I picked up some 31×10.5 BFG KO’s, and pro comp wheels.
It will have 3 doors on it and a gas strut assist lid. A drawer slide on the front will hold a full size cooler. And some other cool odds and ends, it will be heavy duty.
It’ll also be for sale once I’m done, I’m going To have it fully galvanized and then I’ll reassemble. Pretty excited, it’s going well!Attachments:
Toy-YotaParticipantHopefully you find some new work; that’s a trek. What are the bugs like In late may at ardbeg?
Toy-YotaParticipantThat’s a nice addition!
That thing needs some bigger tires!Toy-YotaParticipantLots of snow lately, more tonight

Toy-YotaParticipantSome snow fun, we’ve been getting drilled down here, 2 feet in the last 2 days

Toy-YotaParticipantStill have the Tacoma? My brother may be interested, I’m just Wondering what type of work it needs as of now for safety. You can message me privately if you’d like.
He has plans to trade in his brand new GMC, he had the dealer install a lift and it’s been giving him some problems so he’s trying to get out of it and he realized he wants something less fancyToy-YotaParticipantThanks guys!
Toy-YotaParticipantHere’s the final product minus the lights I haven’t really decided what to do for that yet.

Toy-YotaParticipantLike Tom, my paint didn’t lay down how I wanted. I think the heat in the shop made it react weird. I sanded it and put down a top coat and then I took a sanding block to it again and later down another coat.
And here’s the cut out for Warn 10k on the JKAttachments:
Toy-YotaParticipantPaint always spruces things up, even if it’s not a great finish like you wanted
Toy-YotaParticipantThanks guys, gotta clean up the backside a little, and get some metal prep and Por 15 on there hopefully tomorrow. I also have to cut the excess width off my winch plate so it matches the profile of the rest of the bumper.
Toy-YotaParticipantHere’s the bumper welded and ground, I’m bappy With how it turned out, there’s a few minor things I think I’d change but for the first front bumper I’ve ever done I think it’s good.
Tom I’d be interested in building you one. I’d have to think about what it would cost. I won’t use the Princess auto swing out hinges anymore, the tire carrier needs a hinge with bearings and a strong mounting surface. If you wanted a small swing out for a gas can, max tracks etc those small hinges are fine. I built that rear bumper with a grinder and a mastercrap 110 welder so I think the quality of one I could make now would be better.Attachments:
Toy-YotaParticipantMy brother-in-law sets up tradeshows for work I thought he’s pretty good with general tools but not so much on cars, although when we were looking at cars for him the last couple weeks I think he learned quite a bit. If I showed him how to the front brakes I think he’d have no issue with it, they just live in an apartment building so they have no where to work on stuff.
Making some progress today boys, I should have it finish welded and grind down, just no filler or paint
