Toy-YotaParticipant
Nice, great ways to stay busy for sure. I’ll let you know if I come across anything good.
Toy-YotaParticipantOnce I get an idea in my head…
Picked up the new project, 6 bolt axle, brakes, heavy duty for sure. LEDs already wired with reverse lights too. No major rust. Started painting the other trailer and I’ll do this one too once the welding is done on it.

Toy-YotaParticipantAnd because I don’t like posting without pictures, here’s my thought process in a picture. Plus the new atv. AC 700 efi, It rips pretty good.

Toy-YotaParticipantYeah it’s pretty dry now, enough to drive around back there at least. I do like the new trailer a lot, it’s definitely a better size. A couple feet shorter and foot narrower makes a huge difference. A problem is in the future. Basically here it is. I Sold my atv and we bought another one. I can’t bring the land cruiser, the camper and the quad when we go away up north. The good news is I should be able to sell e camper no problem especially after we paint it. What I’m thinking Of doing is building a roughly 5×8 trailer With a rack that is just A little higher than the handlebars of the quad. Then I’ll put a roof top tent up there and have some room in the trailer for gear etc. It’s really just to get the atv up north to the trail is all. I know we could put the tent on the roof but I don’t like setting it up and down every time I want to move. So there’s some options. I could probably find a trailer and modify it.
Toy-YotaParticipantI had one in my last truck but I sold it with it. So I need to get another. Just a cb whip for now!
Toy-YotaParticipantFlexing it out on a big rock out back. It actually tucks pretty good, rubs in a couple spots. It’s time to build a front bumper though mines getting bent up from trees and stuff

Toy-YotaParticipantI took it up and down a few times actually it is really heavy but it’s doable.
The wife and I camped back out at the cabin last night it was pretty chilly but we had fun.

Toy-YotaParticipantThat’s always satisfying when it fires up for the first time, good luck with the sale.
Toy-YotaParticipantYeah good thinking! I mounted our camp stove in there for now so it’ll be a future project.
Toy-YotaParticipantI ordered a wheel for the spare I picked up, just did curb side pickup at 4wheelparts. They didn’t have time to mount so I said screw it. Have you ever tried to mount a big tire (or any tire for that matter) by hand?
Issued the help of my dad and a BFP (big Effin prybar)
And we got it done, the MTR has a pretty thick sidewall and it takes so much volume it was a little tough to get enough air in to seat the beads but we got it tight enough without using ether actually. Got her mounted up and it looks pretty big but I like it.

Toy-YotaParticipantThat thing is rad! Super bright eh?
Toy-YotaParticipantI don’t really know what’s going to go in it I kinda just threw a bunch of stuff in it.
It would be cool to have cooking stuff on one side but really I don’t usually cook out of the back of the truck because we have the camper. And most of the time we cook over a fire.I just had the idea at work today to put a tool kit on the slide. I’ve seen a couple guys put foam down and then heat up the tools and push them Into the foam so it creates a “slot” for each socket, ratchet, extension etc. Then have a spot for recovery gear too and general camp stuff

Toy-YotaParticipantOh for sure ya, it’s pretty heavy duty. I can’t lift it in the truck on my own it’s heavy.
Toy-YotaParticipantWell I went and got two of them, the guy is out in Kitchener which is close to a couple of you. He’s got like 60 of them and gives a deal the more you buy!

Toy-YotaParticipantYeah I’m excited to get some use out of it!
Quick question for anyone. I figured it would get more exposure here than on a new thread. A guy is selling these these stainless camp kitchens on kijiji. And he said he’ll do 200 bucks per unit if I buy multiple.
Let me know if you want some details, in my opinion they’re worth way more than he’s selling them for.
