KeymasterI’d exercise that option if I had it.
Received my fuel pump hanger in the mail yesterday. Not too pleased with the lack of dunnage or packing peanuts, or bubble wrap. Will be reflected in my ebay feedback.

KeymasterI must retract some of my previous statement. There were many cheerful and respectful people I interacted with, however they mostly referred me back the the pamphlet Dufferin County provides….the pamphlet which is what brought me to them. Sorry for that eh.
A fellow from a shop in Grand Valley will inquire with their chemical guy next time he collects and will call me back.
It’s not all doom and gloom. I will succeed, and recycle responsibly to protect the earth I depend on.
I’m also not getting a burn barrel. Not allowed in my town.
Once again, sorry eh.

KeymasterSweeet! Someday when I move outta town, I’ll build myself a closed circuit for all the Toys n Yotas.

KeymasterNever in my life would I have figured it’d be so tough to properly and ethically dispose of old gas. In two weeks I’m no closer than when I started my quest, but I have learned that all 9 locations recommended through Dufferin County Waste are not supporting their claims. So far my only responsible option is to bring it to a “Community Hazardous Waste collection day”, the next one scheduled for mid May 2019. MID MAY!?!? No f##king way I’m putting this off till mid May! This truck is to be on the road for May 1st.
What really burns me is how unhelpful every single local shop rep has been thus far.
Time to invest in a steel burn barrel and get un-ethical.
Arrgh. Rant over.

KeymasterEvan, I have a rearview but its half-stained in rusty mouse pee. Gross. Anything you have to offer would be appreciated.
I am only assuming CanBack would be drafty, but I think tbe fastest I ever had the BigRunner travelling (aside from on a trailer) was 50km/h and nobody was in the back. My girls have never actually ridden in a 4Runner in motion, but we accumulated hundreds of imagination kms through the jungles and forests near us.

KeymasterMark, thanks a bunch for possible delivery if you do make it through town here.
As for old gas, I’d rather pay $0.50/L to dispose of it, than $100s-$1,000s to replace clogged filters, injectors, in the Taco. Playing it safe.

KeymasterOhh that last little rock step-up looks like it could be really tricky. Hard to tell how tall it is without a scale, and that moss looks slick.
Can’t believe there’s no snow out your way. Started snowing up here in Shelburne in late October, and the bush has had snow almost continuously in thr bushes.

KeymasterHey @Benjamers, awesome looking 5th gen! Looks like you’ve got a solid jump on tweakin’ that 4Runner to suit your needs.
I also met Josh selling that Taco @Slick posted. I bought a softtopper off him a few weeks before his truck went in for frame recall. Small world.

KeymasterEvan, I just sent you a text for the lication of the boler.
Slick, just sent you a pm with my cell number, I’ll send you a map pin also.

KeymasterDon’t think I’m in the market for a trailer yet, no idea what a Boler is worth. Gonna work on backyard camping with the girls this spring/summer, hopefully do an overnight or weekend at a Provincial Park if all goes well.
I’ll send you a pinpoint on a map if you wish to pursue that boler. There wasn’t a For Sale sign, Zi just recall you had an interest in them.
Sounds like you were pretty productive while waiting on the flakes to fly. We got 5-10cm last night, made the drive to work today much more fun.

KeymasterMark, thanks a bunch for the heater piece. That ‘88 I checked out was broken the same as mine, so didnt bother taking it.
I’ve gotta start spending on parts, Redee has been here since June and hardly closer to the road. Been saving my pennies for road legal. Also pretty sweet to have the Taco is paid off.
I struck out at two places today trying to dispose of old gas. However, tomorrow I’m gonna call the local Auto Recycler /Scrap Metal guys. They must have a means of collecting old gas before they shred cars for scrap metal. Hopefully they accept it, for cheap.
That old washer jug is full of “gas”…if only it was Craft Beer

KeymasterOh man those sliders look like a whole lot more than you spent. Great work man.
Spotted a Boler on a cruise with my girls yesterday. Heading home from Alliston, took a road we’ve never driven before, and this was just before the dead end.
Looked in good shape, def sitting a while though.

KeymasterThis baby blue gem is gonna get a pretty big hole cut into it. Plan is to buy a sheet of tinted & UV shielded lexan/acryllic, and replace about 75% of the roof with it. My intention is to create a MASSIVE moon roof (fixed not opening) for star gazing. My girls and I love to star gaze, and this mod will enhance the experience for all of us. I’m already spoiled with a sunroof, but the girlies would only have to sliding windows to view out.
I’m worried the CanBack will be too drafty for the wee ones, and still won’t have any upwards visibility. So yet another “stage 2” project and its pieces are accumulating. If Sam and the girls get their way, this’ll be painted purple before it goes atop Redee.

KeymasterGrabbed a few pieces off a ‘88 4Runner going to scrap tomorrow, got the sunroof wind deflector and hard topper (baby blue) were my big score items. Was hoping to get a spare set of IFS hubs, but somebody got them yesterday. I also forgot to grab the rearview mirror, which is one of the parts which brought me all that way
In hindsight I shoulda grabbed the CV shafts, but it slipped my mind and I was on a tight timeline to get back home for Sam to nap before work tonight.
Buddy had a second 1988 4Runner, V6 manual that he DD’s. Really nice shape too. I sent him a link to TNTT, perhaps he’ll join up.
