It’s actually more like the end of the trail, there’s a river that’s pretty deep to cross depending on the time of year. So the trail ends and this is a big circle turn around type thing. It goes up pretty steep with a big V notch and then this is where you come down. It can be ran in either direction though!

I didn’t end up doing anything to it except putting a battery in it and freeing up the ebrake. I winched it onto my trailer with my 4runner haha. Sold it in less than a day. It leaked a ton of oil, like a few litres in about a minute!!

I think that’s the best way to learn to wheel. 31s rear locker and a manual. Figure out how to get up and down obstacles in that setup and it prepares you well for bigger tires, lower gears and F/R lockers!

My friends second gen crawling on a J**p and way back when the Orange Sapphire was actually orange

About time to put the old Starcraft away, any suggestions for winterizing? I cleaned it out and started by throwing dryer sheets everywhere to keep the mice away

    Yeah actually thanks for asking:

to to do list is as follows:

-fix blower motor (changed the resistor and got it working again in all fan speeds but it sounds like it’s full of marbles)

-add in line coolant temp sensor because the gauge on the cluster has never worked properly

    -wire up CB radio

    – would love to figure out the rear window, kinda want to by pass all the safeties

    – a set of half doors with cupholders would be cool

    – I never hooked up the 02 sensor because the one I had off the headed was a one wire style and the one the body of the truck had was the bigger style.

-quiet down the squeaks and rattles.

EI’d be interested in coming since it’s close to me (no worries if you’re full.)

What kind of trails are they? I do have a CB which I need to hook up if that helps. I should double check with the wife if I’m available first though, provided you have room.

I recall having to swap the lines rack and lines on my 04’ Tacoma, I couldn’t save the lines and I ended up having them made from a hydraulics shop in Hamilton, wayyyyy cheaper than getting them at the dealer. I just gave them the old one and specified what it would be going on and how much heat/pressure it would be facing.
