ParticipantDidn’t make it as far up the trail as we wanted with the quad towing the trailer. So we turned back and camped in this big sand pit. Tons of bugs but caught a nice musky!

ParticipantWhat’s your tach say when you’re at 90-100kmh?

ParticipantCouldn’t be bothered to mess around with it anymore, on top of all the other small engines I have to fix and maintain. So I sold it to a super nice guy in Oakville and went and bought this today, my wife likes it more even though it’s kinda slow. But this is a lot newer (has a fuel gauge) and looks way simpler to maintain.

ParticipantBought this 2000 Sportsman for my wife, it has 900 Miles and seems to be pretty clean. I changed the oil and We took it for a half hour ride and it overheated….. grrrreat. Checked the water pump and it’s spinning freely, checked the thermostat tonight and it opens. Hopefully just gonna pull the rad after work tomorrow and flush it and then get a water pump gasket on Tuesday and see what happens

ParticipantStinking guy backed out on me, his dad got wind that he was selling it and made him keep it because they’re gonna “restore it.” It’ll sit and rot away for another 15 years. Oh well…

ParticipantI looked at this thing for like 5 mins, once I get it back to my house I’ll let you know if they’re worth anything, they’ve been low for a while so maybe there’s damage who knows…
He has to get back to me still agter he finds the ownership and keys.

ParticipantSigh… I bought another Jeep today. For someone who hates Jeeps I sure do stumble across a lot of them.
I noticed this CJ around the corner from my place at an old golf course. I went in a couple times and left my phone number. He finally called me back today and said 500 bucks would take it away. It’s got 35×14.5 swampers that seem to hold air and he bought a fiberglass tub from Ohio years ago that looks to be in good shape. Motor doesn’t run currently, has no top, seats are destroyed and the tub is full of water lol. Oh well I’m going to try and flip it or part it out.

ParticipantWhat time are most people thinking of being there?

ParticipantI’ll be sure to grab one first thing, I’ll make sure to bring cash

ParticipantAt least you’ll get it all fixed! That Holley ECU has got to be pretty old!
See you tomorrow!

ParticipantDumb weather stripping, I finally just taped it up under the door so it doesn’t sag.
Good news: yesterday I got the taillight converter installed but the bad news is I guess the wire taps didn’t work perfectly because the left signal and brake don’t work. So I’ll have to look at it again. More bad news the rear window lift mechanism decided to rust and break in half so I’ll have to try to swap that out somehow. It’s a real pain to get too. For now I might just throw on the half top and not worry about it I dont know. It stays under a cover anyway.

ParticipantI like that 4runner actually, I think I’d rather a SBC than a SBF but that’s cool.
its okay from up close it has a couple rough spots on the body and frame. He did finally get it running and it sounded pretty good.
