Slick_YotaKeymasterGood to see some Tntters at show today!
Slick_YotaKeymasterSo after driving the new Taco all the time, took the old one to pick up the dog from the kennel. Front end howling!!! not sure if I never noticed it before or something new… Sounds like front diff or wheel bearings… Will have to diagnose and fix before winter, as I wanted to use the old Taco for the winter.
Slick_YotaKeymasterSorry to hear that Kev – that really sucks! Hope he heals up fast!
Slick_YotaKeymasterWon’t be able to make this one – I’ll be at the TMMC car show, then at a friends house for dinner. I’ll catch up to you this week Mark…
Slick_YotaKeymasterQuestion: when you adjust the cam bolt, does that not throw out your toe? I think it would have less affect on camber than toe…
EFI issues sound like way more effort than I’d be willing to endure – kudos to you!
Slick_YotaKeymasterI believe he has the 2008 TTSE model (Trail Teams Special Edition).
Sorry I couldn’t make it. didn’t wake up until 1 and my truck was buried, on top of being hung over…
Looks like a lot of TW people came out!
Slick_YotaKeymasterI’m pretty sure we can get there!
Slick_YotaKeymasterTony on sontt used to have an exo-skeleton on his 4 runner, but it was white and not quite that configuration. That’s cool as hell though!
Your rig looks perfect on the beach!!!
Slick_YotaKeymasterI just found out how much to insure the new truck vs the old one – very reasonable…
That being the case, I just left the insurance on the old Taco, so “Good” and “Evil” will both stay on the road at all times… “Evil” will be a work truck after I retire, as well as a play truck.
“Good” will just look good and go places that have paved roads and parking far away from general populous that open their doors indiscriminately (even though I have running boards that stick out past the doors to protect them).
Slick_YotaKeymasterWe’ll have to check that route out another time finn!
Good to see you guys again!
Slick_YotaKeymasterat home with the family:
One can never have enough Toyota trucks in the driveway:
Slick_YotaKeymasterAug 13th, picked up the new pickup from Heffner (thanks again Krezz!!!):
Slick_YotaKeymasterI had to replace my starter (and eventually alternator) after immersing both of them in some Ardbeg sludge a few years back – this photo was after pulling it back about 4′ – the headlights were under water when I first went in…:
Slick_YotaKeymasterThanks guys. It’s a TRD Sport upgraded (so it has sunroof, leather heated seats and navigation), with $8K in add-ons:
TRD exhaust, TRD cold air intake, Bed Graphics, Tailgate blackout lettering, TRD splash guard, Blackout badge overlays, Tinted windows, Hood and fender wrap. Roof rack, Running boards, TRD fake bead lock rims with BFG KO2 tires, Trailer hitch.
Just did Ardbeg and was able to climb over everything I pointed the old girl at, so not in any hurry to drop any $$$ (which I no longer have anyway) on her. In the future I could see regearing and 35’s.
Hey Tom, I drove back through Shelburn and saw a red 3rd gen Yota pickup with a dirt bike in the back… Know him?

Slick_Yota.
Slick_YotaKeymasterI had replaced my OEM battery that was on it’s last legs after 10 years of hard service. The difference was amazing with the new AGM eliminator. Even in -40 temperatures, it fires up strong and immediately.
