The nice thing about Japanese bikes – parts are generally cheap and available. I was really surprised at what was available for the SL100.

The hardest bike I had to find parts for was a 79 CR250R. That was a number of years ago though, before I discovered the benefit of ebay!

yes, I just blew the ignition coils. Replaced the coils and spark plugs and went back to the track the following Friday. Good as new!

Yeah, its pretty dusty. Descent shape though. Ordered a seat, points/condenser and coil for it – about $120 on ebay.

As for the parts Connie, I think I’ll register this one because it was only $100… and quite a bit newer than my other 2. I’ll swap all the other parts over to this one, but put the more modern combi meter and control switches on my 87. For that I have to swap out the main wire harnesses (lots on tear down for the old Connie this winter!).

Thatā€™s the best $100 I ever spent! Lots of good parts on this bike, even with a blown engine!

Iā€™ve been looking at a Yamaha 350 enduro for $1400. Spending too much $$$ lately though, so held off on that one.

Lol!!! Good eye! Luckily this POS has almost everything else I need to put my other parts bike on the road.

I put handle bars from my other bike on it to unload. Much easier to get it down! My neighbour came over to help.

This is the second parts bike Iā€™ve bought that had brand new tires on it! The fork seals donā€™t even leak!!! I rarely find even good bikes that donā€™t need fork seals.

Latest acquisition: 2002 Kawi Concours parts bike.

Now Iā€™ll be able to put my other parts bike on the road!

    Looking good!

Remember when I said the scrap guy wanted $200 for the combi meter? I just found a 2002 parts bike with said combi meter attached for $100!!! Picked it up tonight!

I hear ya… I was looking for a meter cluster for the 94 Connie – $200 from my bike parts guy… little steep for my liking.

Nice find! You gotta jump on those deals when they come along!

@Tom: “…am afraid of the fuel consumption haha.” This sounds funny coming from a guy with a V8 swap 4Runner! lol

Good to see you and Dave are still kicking!
