youd have to check on which standard they measure it at, the ’09 or the new engine. might be worth talking to your trusted mechanic and see what they can tell you.

well, i ended up buying a ‘reload’ dash cam but not the sale one. this one seems to be pretty decent with more than a few features. install looks to be pretty straightforward and easily concealed. if the weather is half way decent this weekend, ill get it installed.

if i can ever figure out how to save and post things on to here, ill get some vids of my travels so you can see some of the scenery around here!

hmm…interesting idea there mark! id have to go with the type used at bull arm when they were building the hibernia platform, the stuff we have is not sturdy enough with the winds we get around here.

im not sure if i could rig it up to make some kind of enclosed shelter, ill have to ask our sales guys and see what they know about it.

to clarify things a bit better mark, the ’07 i had to use one of those folding step ladder things to reach the entire roof and to get all the hood. i dont have a tonneau on the pro yet so i was able to reach most of the roof from the bed. still needed the step ladder for the front portion and the hood at the base of the windshield.

i could get the roof by standing on the door sills but im somewhat lazy and dont want to have to clean wet boot marks off the sills or vacuum the carpet unnecessarily! my reach for the hood is shy about 6″ even on tip toes. i guess i should have eaten my veggies when i was growing up.

mark, ive been a very good boy as far as the stupid pedal goes! so far. the sliders and grab handle will make it much easier to get in and out of, especially for m’lady. you have to make sure they are happy or NO ONE is happy!

steve, pretty much what ive listed is the build thread. ill get some pictures up as soon as everything is completed. the majority of the things are putting the truck to where i had the ’07 with the exception of the sliders. the old truck only had the chrome factory side steps.

the new sliders are coming from C.O.R.E. with custom designed fill plates strategically located at the doors. come the new year, ill be out looking for the local jeep guys to try out some trails. i might have to get a new tow strap in case any of them get stuck!

hehe, that would be one hell of a drive! im up for it but the boss, she no like long drives. id need at least three weeks to make that happen, the drive to and from the rock would take up 6 days. id have to make some visits if i did come back. maybe it would have to be 4 weeks!

thats the way it was when i belonged to jeepkings!! it was all in good fun and i met some really great friends that im still in contact with today. best part of it all, i was completely stock at the time and the tires were pretty much worn out but i still managed to go just about everywhere they did and even recovered a few of them!

hey kevin! dont get me wrong, id love to keep the ’07 but when donna said she wanted me to get a newer truck, im not letting that opportunity pass me by! we managed to grab a sweet deal on the ’17 pro which made things easy to take.

not many place to off road hear but im on the lookout! see plenty of muddy jeeps around mt pearl and paradise so there are a few spots apparently. not sure if i want to tag along and show them up!

hmm…this might work well for me! im in need of a drivers side grab handle for my new ’17 tundra pro. seems some idiot decided it wasnt needed, must have been a car designer. depending on the cost, i may get it through you as opposed to the states.

have your parts guy shoot me an email with the good news that you can, in fact, get one for me and the pricing. shipping is to: A1N 5B8.

you should get as good a trade value for your taco as i did for my ’07 slick! hammer them hard, go in with a well thought out offer and be ready to do the deal right away. i had been looking at this one for a while, ever since i found out they were discontinuing them. it was the dealer demo, 10k on it.

there was another guy looking at it, had been in 3-4 times already and was just waiting to put a deposit on it. no dilly dallying, its mine! he who hesitates missed the exit and is 5 miles out of their way!

ryan, i can look and see if the 60 is still around for you! i took a cursory look at it and it looks to be in pretty good shape. obviously, the front knuckles need some attention as there is significant oil residue around the locking hubs. that could just be the typical leaking packing but the truck was straight and no indication of any body work.
