Flat bed is from Uteltd
awesome customer service. Great turn around time and communication.
They offer a cap by ARE which I’m looking at as well. The install wasn’t too bad. Pretty straight forward for the most part. I have to fab some stuff but not neccesary if you just use it with a hitch and what not.
The bed comes on a pallet which weighed in at a woping 210lbs. That’s it. The stock bed is way more and it’s not as strong.

Steve glad to see you again and thanks again for all the help with the flat. Think I caught the valve stem on something. Was able to reseat everything and it’s holding some air now.
The first photo was the gf saying go slow then the driver tire sinking….momentum is your friend sometime.
I think we have a max of 12 or 13 vehicles. I’ll try and post some pics from Tacomaworld. Hopefully we will see ya at the next one Mark.

Have fun camping. I’m looking forward to redoing my camping setup so I’m ready to go for the spring. Don’t know if I can convince Karoline to trek out in the cold. Don’t know if I’m ready yet either.

ill be getting a cap from the the same company as the flatbed. It’s a commercial cap so the roof rack should be enough to support the rtt.
Still lots of work to do with getting it back to how I had it. Going to stiffen up the rear frame so this bed hopefully doesn’t break.
May start a build thread over the holidays.
I broke the bed of my truck. With the weight of a cap, tools, and roof top tent, the composite bed of the tacoma split. Instead of fixing it with a new bedside, I upgraded. With selling the cap, bumper, and some other things I am not too much out of pocket…..
Even with bed reinforcements the bed still split
This is the new setup. Just have to finish some wiring, and small things to get it road legal. Then in the spring, its all coming off so I can box the frame, put bigger crossmebers in, and finalize wiring and some other miscellaneous goodies.
