What a great day for a drive to go get dinner in the 51.

Drove down to Richmond and took Richmond road to the lake. Drove along the lake to Port Burwell – there were hundreds of people social distancing at the ice cream shop on the corner! LOL.

Continued east along the lake shore, looking for somewhere to eat. Passed dozens of motorcycles, hot rods and classic cars. everyone waves!

Drove all the way to Port Dover and finally found somewhere to eat dinner! There were hundreds of people social distancing in Dover too! Got a nice perch dinner from the Erie Beach Tavern. Called in the order and they bring it out to you when it’s ready – very safe!

Then we just sat in the car and ate, while watching all the cars and people distantly going by. Beautiful warm drive home with the windows down!

My letter to my local MP:

    Hello Mr. Mackenzie,

I wanted to express my concern with the way PM Trudeau slipped this ban of 1,500 firearms into place.  It was underhanded and not in the best interest of Canadians.

This ban does not address the root cause of the problem (mass shooting in NS being the most recent example of “the problem”).  He is simply taking away rights from 99.9% of law abiding Canadians.

The funny thing is, I don’t even own a gun or consider buying one.  I come from a family of farmers, hunters and law abiding gun enthusiasts. I believe Canadians should have the right to own firearms.

Mr. Trudeau needs to address the following:
    1) Where the firearms are coming from that are being used for crimes?
    2) Are they illegal, stolen, legit registered?
    3) How the individuals managed to acquire these firearms.
    4) Most importantly, address the root cause of the problem.

Trudeau’s solution will not stop mass shootings because he didn’t address the root cause of the problem.
The root cause of the problem is most likely illegal firearms and how easy it is to acquire them. We also need to ensure individuals who use firearms for crimes or are in the business of importing illegal firearms are punished severely.  This will make the risk greater than the reward and help stop the illegal activity.

    Thank you,

YEs, currently has 2.73’s. 100kmph @ 1500 RPM… I like it better at 2000 – 2500RPM. That way, you can mash the pedal and gain speed rather than bog.

When in an 80KM zone I usually sit in 3rd gear…

Indeed! Thanks! Went for a ride on the bikes for ice cream. Taking the Dodge for a spin shortly to get beer.

Put a new door on the garage and received my order of drywall (20 sheets) to do the ceiling. That’ll be next week’s project.

Shit Tom, that’s a great find!

I missed out on a 77 Kawi 500 triple. Complete, not running and only $650!!! I went back an hour later after I convinced myself to buy it and it was gone!

You gotta go with your gut and jump on ‘em right away! I could have flipped that bike for $1,500 without even touching it! Really kicking myself for procrastinating on that one!

Diagnosed the front tire leak today – torn valve stem:

I can’t believe how much room is in the garage now with only 3 bikes and the Dodge (and lawnmower, and snow blower) in there!

Wednesday, I take M’s Ninja in for an oil change and the front tire of my Connie – developed a slow leak… Can’t see anything, so I’m hoping it just needs to be remounted to seal it up. I’ll do the soapy water test today to confirm diagnosis…

OMG! My rotors don’t look that bad, but I think they’re still in need of replacement – that wobble I have in the front end… I can’t judge – I know I have to look into the cause of the wobble, but I’ve got so many other things to do that it’s bottom of the priority list.

Sold the XR today for over 2X what I paid for it, with nothing into it – love it when that happens!
Sold the 77 KZ750 and parts bike for $200 more than I paid for it, with nothing into it… I could have held out for more, but it’s nice to have the space back in the garage.

My neighbour came by and asked if I wanted to buy his bike lift… Had a pocket full of $$, how could I refuse! I parked the 94 ZG1000 parts bike on the lift to save space.

    What a great day!!!

Should have the KZ750 gone by tomorrow, as well as the XR… Little more room for the 51 😀
Gonna make some $$ on both bikes without even putting a cent into either!
