Yea the gearbox shaft got a little ouchie, the old pitman arm got right effed up. Cut-off disk, cold chisel, bfh. Easy enough eh.

Had a huge victory in the HVAC department. I bought a universal throttle cable for a mower, and harvested the push-pull rod is what I needed for the Cold / Hot slider. Perfect fit, $10 fix. Now I don’t have to reach blindly under the dash for the blend door thingy the cable loops around to.
I installed the 4” round speakers I got for chritmas into the original location in the lower dash. I haven’t tested them, but I know it’ll be better than only rear speakers. I have tube doors and half doors, so I can change as I please and not lose the tunes.
I rigged up a boot for the t-case shifter through the floor. I used a toilet flapper and some rivets to get a flexible seal. Not pretty, but neither is the patch plate. Not worried about a pretty floor.

Afterwards I installed the shifter surround housing the window switches, and bolted the seats back in. Also put the gauges back in. I’ve left the trim off so I can reach the tachometer adjuster screw and dial it in. Very excited for the new gauge suite.

I was planning to put the carpet in, but I haven’t run the wires to the ARB compressor, and I’m pressed for time. The kids are expecting us to go for a drive soon, like this weekend coming soon.
Tomorrow I will finish the power steering install, put Redee down on 4 wheels and torque everything again. Hopefully drop it off for an alignment too.
