Toy-YotaParticipant
So I made that light bar pivot 180 degrees on a rubber bushing so hopefully it can take some abuse, which will be nice. Deep cycle is in and my switch panel all works as it should. The tent comes in today, and once it’s installed I’ll wire up my LED strip lights under the tent. Made a mount the other day and Mounted my water can. Ordered a 10w solar panel and charge controller and put that on, it’ll just maintain the deep cycle I’m hoping, not expecting much from it to be honest. Where we camp is generally shaded anyway.
Headed up toward Bancroft Friday if all goes to plan.
I mounted my old 4wd shifter knob from my first gen On it too just for old times sake, and saw this beauty 80 at 4wp.Attachments:
Toy-YotaParticipantFingers crossed it stays together, overheating trucks are the worst.
Toy-YotaParticipantThe tents gonna open up on the opposite side so hopefully too much doesn’t go up there but it’s true, it all bolts on so if it doesn’t work I’ll just change it up.

Toy-YotaParticipantThat’s actually a good point, you’re smarter then you look. I didn’t think about the loaded weight. Mind you the leaf springs on it are thick and lots of leafs so I feel as though they barely move at all even under load. Progress pics….
The bumper is what I’m hoping to build/maybe buy.

Toy-YotaParticipantSo it’s spring under and I got the perch’s to weld on to do a spring over. I think I will just to have it match the truck better. I like the way the tires sit in the wheel wells now but I think it needs a little more height overall.
Ordered a tent hopefully here next week, and the tongue box too. Then I can start wiring the deep cycle in. I’d like to do a propane mount too, water cans.
Toy-YotaParticipantNo I’ve had a little bit of interest but not as much as I thought. I’d really like to sell it before I get a roof top tent, because they’re $$$.
Here’s the final product. The rack ended up being higher than I wanted so I might redrill and lower it a little. Paint turned out OK. So now I have to lower the rack, install tongue box, Battery and switch panel, spare tire, and awning. Then she’s done basically. I ran etrack inside and welded in a couple tie downs

Toy-YotaParticipantYeah the shop looks awesome, good work!
Toy-YotaParticipantThe goal is to have a few inches to spare and then adjust it from there if need be. Yeah I’m glad I could use those tires for something because I was having trouble selling them anyway.
Primed it and got a little paint on it yesterday hopefully we can finish it up today.

Toy-YotaParticipantWe chatted in princess auto a couple months ago, he got a bunch of good parts for the white truck, busted a ring and pinion that he’s gotta replace. He got a front locker, rcvs, shirt shifted from marlin I believe, etc etc. He’s been working away at it!
Toy-YotaParticipantHopefully it works, so many of my toyotas had been plagued with heating issues or messed up temp gauges it’s really frustrating
Toy-YotaParticipantExpedition trailer update

Toy-YotaParticipantThe Fleetwood all painted up in Desert Sand. It’s a cool little camper I really wish we could have used it more. But I won’t be really upset if we had to keep it. I love it’s size and look now.

Toy-YotaParticipantNice, great ways to stay busy for sure. I’ll let you know if I come across anything good.
Toy-YotaParticipantOnce I get an idea in my head…
Picked up the new project, 6 bolt axle, brakes, heavy duty for sure. LEDs already wired with reverse lights too. No major rust. Started painting the other trailer and I’ll do this one too once the welding is done on it.

Toy-YotaParticipantAnd because I don’t like posting without pictures, here’s my thought process in a picture. Plus the new atv. AC 700 efi, It rips pretty good.
