James and I took a scenic route on our way to Alliston today, checking out the conditions on some No Exit roads. Despite all the melting this week, the overnight lows allowed for re-freezing. Overall the road conditions were mostly dry, and some snow/ice hardpack in the shade. Hardly any wheelspin, no traction aides required today. I figure in a few more weeks as the ground fully thaws it’ll get pretty soupy out there.

James is feeling some confidence with his new Duratracs this week. Got a set of LT265/70-17 from my buddy Eric @ Mapleview Tire (705-985-8473).

With the 09 Taco gone now, I’ll be avoiding “soup”! lol

We all had a blast, however only James got to play in the soup.
My girls and I left the tour in favour of a hike about 300m before the soup started, the girls were tired of cruising and had energy to burn. I had no idea what the boys were into until I got the photos an hour later.
Matt stopped about 5 metres into the soup when it looked as though James wasnt gonna make it through. They both had to reverse quite a ways out before being able to spin the trucks around to drive out the way they went in. Our plan is to have another GO at this route heading Northbound as opposed to Southbound Perhaps this Sunday coming up. I’m torn between riding shotty in the FJ or firing up my atv.

thanks Kev. i remember those days. i have no pics left. hell, i barely make a bs session. yesterdays tire swapping wiped me out. Going to have to figure out what to do with the lifted 98 runner and the taco. thanks for the help. still on the mend myself.
