So here in Canada, and a few other places other than the US, J40s of a certain vintage were recipients of a radiator screen that extended about 3 inches above the top of the bib, essentially filling in behind the hole formed by the shape of the hood as it rests on top of the bib. From what I can tell, most radiator screens did not have this extension. A hilariously large number of NOS OEM parts are still avaliable, but not this screen. Mine wasn’t doing so well.
$100 at a custom steel place to repair the frame and replace the expanded sheet metal with something slightly heavier gauge. It won’t look 100% original due to this but it should hold up a lot better. I’m happy with the result but I’m going to have to do some touch up work on it still.
